Dear Families,

Can you believe that it is already nearing the end of the first quarter of the 2020-2021 school year?! Time flies! That means that this week we will be working hard at wrapping up the first quarter learning goals. Your kiddos will have a chance to show what they have learned about writing narrative stories, adding and subtracting within 10, using short vowels, and using reading strategies…among other things! It has been so exciting to see them growing and learning every day!

During conferences you will be able to see some of these examples first hand. Thanks for getting signed up for those. More specific details will be sent to you soon.

Also, as is tradition at the end of a quarter, Friday (OCT 16) will be a half-day; so your first grader will be dismissed at 12:30 that day. There will also be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, October 19th.

                                                                    Have a great weekend!

                                                                   -Mrs.  Phinney :o)
